Even though her flows can be challenging, she will offer several variations for most poses, hence her classes are suited for passionate students of all levels. She has collected over 2000 hrs of education in Vinyasa Flow yoga (300 hrs with Shiva Rea, Simon Park and Meghan Currie), Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga (with Lino Miele, Gregor Maehle and Kamal Singh), Yin Yoga (with Jo Phee), Pranavashya Yoga (with Vinay Kumar in Mysore). Ameriga studied Oriental Languages and cultures at the University, has a Masters degree in Anthropology, and is a avid student of yoga philosophy, Tibetan Buddhism and Sanskrit. Ameriga Giannone is the main teacher at Floripa Yoga & Kitesurf House. She is a RYT500 and has completed over one thousand hours of certified trainings in different styles of yoga, ranging from Ashtanga, Prana flow, Hatha Yoga and Vinyasa flow. She teaches Vinyasa flow yoga, Yin Yoga, meditation, pranayama and SUP Yoga.
Her Vinyasa classes are a blend of Ashtanga elements into a Mandala Vinyasa style practice. She will offer several variations for most poses, which is why the classes are suited for both beginner and more advanced levels. Her classes can last over two hours, as she works on a specific topic for each class, and progresses from simpler asanas to more engaging ones in a powerful and energizing flow.
Ameriga graduated in Oriental languages and cultures, she has travelled extensively through Asia (and the rest of the world) and is very passionate about yoga philosophy, which she is happy to share at dinner time. When she is not teaching at Floripa, she travels the world to practice under the guidance her teachers- Shiva Rea, Lino Miele, Simon Borg-Olivier, Meghan Currie, Elena Brower and ashtanga masters Gregor Mahele and Kamal Singh.
